We have our sights on your success: perfect combination of theory and practice

In Cooperation with the

UNIVERSITY OF COOPERATIVE EDUCATION IN HEALTH AND SOCIAL SERVICES

If you’re striving to pursue an academic career in geriatric care, you’ve come to the right place! Our bachelor degree course is the perfect way to reach your goal. It comprises seven semesters (3,5 years) and it includes a built-in training programme for registered geriatric nurses (m/f) at our College for Geriatric Care, which runs for three years. In other words, you’ll already be receiving a training allowance during your first six semesters!

After your fist six semesters, you’ll be administered the examination for registered geriatric nurses (m/f). During the seventh semester, you’ll spend time at the various care facilities in order to deepen your practical knowledge and absolve a training to be a practical instructor.

ADMISSION REQUIREMENTS TO THE BACHELOR DEGREE COURSE OF GERIATRIC CARE:

  • high school diploma which is recognised in Germany and required for admission to universities and colleges of higher education.
  • German language skills: at least B2 level. Language qualification is assessed by the University of Cooperative Education in Health and Social Services. Should you not have sufficient knowledge of the German language to start your studies, you have the opportunity, alternatively, to begin a training programme for registered geriatric nurses (m/f), which requires a command of the German language at B1 level.

TRAINING ALLOWANCE & TUITION FEES

  • During the first six semesters, the training allowance varies between € 800 and € 1.100 per month. There are no tuition fees during the first six semesters. Starting with the seventh semester, students will have to pay a fee of € 275 per month (which amounts to a total of € 1.650 for six months of studies – as of January 2018). However, since there’s a good chance that you’ll be offered an employment contract upon the successful passing of the exam, tuition fees do not constitute a financial problem.
