Our continuing education programme to become a qualified caregiving professional under sections 43b/53b of the German Social Code (SGB XI) is the ideal starting point for your new professional future!

In this practice-oriented training, you will acquire the essential knowledge to assist people – especially older individuals or those with impairments, disabilities, or illnesses – in their daily lives, promote their independence, and support them with empathy.

You will not only learn how to actively structure everyday routines, but also how to respond to the individual needs of your clients, especially when working with people affected by dementia or other cognitive impairments.

How our continuing education programme is structured:

The continuing education programme comprises a total of 160 teaching units (TUs) and is divided into three consecutive modules, which are only recognised when completed as a whole:

Module 1: Course in basic care work

13 October – 31 October 2025
100 teaching units
Basic knowledge needed for care work in nursing facilities

Module 2: Internship in a nursing facility

01 November – 23 November 2025
80 hours
Care internship to apply the acquired knowledge in practice

Module 3: Course in advanced care work
24 November – 09 December 2025
60 teaching units
Deepening of knowledge and preparation for everyday professional life as a caregiver

 

Prerequisite

Before the qualification programme, a 40-hour orientation internship must be completed. Proof is required. If you have already completed these hours through previous work in nursing or caregiving, no orientation internship is necessary.

 

Certificate

Upon successful completion of all three modules, you will receive your certified qualification as a caregiver in accordance with sections 43b/53b of the German Social Code (SGB XI).
